365 Days of Gratitude – Day 150

Front porch steps…

For the sound of a sputtering lawn mower off in the distance, for watching the cat slink towards its prey, for noticing the swish of the bike tires riding past, for hearing the birds singing and swooping overhead, for greeting a neighbor walking their tired ole’ dog, for sitting on the stoop with a bowl of brownie batter and a spatula surrounded by colorful pots of flowers!

“The front porch was know more in ‘its day’ as a place of sanctuary to make time to sit back and relax, to be quiet and have time for contemplation, to be closer to nature, and to be closer to family, friends and other people in the community.” Cheryl Perrault from the “Lost Art of Porch Sitting”

Here’s till tomorrow and watching the world go by…
